Stephen John Kaczynski

Stephen (Steve) John Kaczynski, beloved husband to Terry, and father to Chrissy (Tommy), Stephen (Dawn), and Andrew (Rachel), passed away on May 23, 2022. Born and raised in The Big Apple, Steve was a proud New Yorker and baseball fanatic who never missed a Yankees game. He went to Regis High School and St. John’s University, where he received both his undergrad and a law degree. After graduating from law school, Steve entered the Army JAG Corps, eventually attending the University of Virginia to receive his master's in law. Following his stint at UVA, Steve worked his way up to become a partner at Jones Day, one of the largest law firms in the world.

Despite his long list of life accomplishments, Steve’s most cherished title was one he received in the last ten years of his life – the title of Grandpa. Grandpa Steve loved his five grandchildren more than they’ll ever truly understand. Their mere presence set off happiness in Steve that turned him into a kid again, watching cartoons and building blocks with his favorite little munchkins. It tore Steve up when one of those grandchildren, Francesca, was taken from us in her first year of life by a brain tumor. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1 from 9:30-11 a.m. at The Church of St. Dominic, 3450 Norwood Road, Shaker Heights, Ohio. A funeral mass will be held immediately following, at 11 a.m. at The Church of St. Dominic.
