Scherolene Dave Obituary


Scherolene Ray (Dave) was born May 5, 1949 to Willie and Aurelia Ray in Cleveland, Ohio. Scherolene attended Cleveland public schools where she graduated from East Technical High school, upon graduating she attended Cuyahoga Community College. 
Scherolene accepted Christ at an early age she joined Day Spring Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Simmons, she later joined New Light Baptist Church and Zion Chapel where she was a deaconess as her illness progressed she joined Southeast Baptist church on Lee Rd. 
She worked at the VA Hospital for 20 years where she retired from. She then went to work for Aetna Insurance Company and then Bedford school system as a teacher's assistant. 
On September 1, 1990 she married the love of her life, Mr. Lee Dave.  They were married for 30 years. She and her husband traveled frequently, going to many destinations. Scherolene loved to shop and she looked good everywhere she went.  She looked like a rich woman inside and out. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters and her husband. She loved to go on outings with her mom. Sharlene always had a smile for everyone she met. The gentle way she spoke and her bright smile and easy laughter will be missed by all. 
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Lee, her beautiful and loving mother Aurelia, sister Winnett Taylor, her brother Leonard Ray, her daughters Latrice and Keisha, son Tony, sister- n- law Joyce Dave, 9 grandchildren; out of those she had a very special bond with Kayla and Kameren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Preceding her in death her father Willie Ray, sister Valerie Ray, brothers Willie Ray Jr., Terry Ray, and McDonald Ray.
