Peter Seelig

Peter Seelig, 83, of Parma died Wednesday, December 7, 2022.  He was born on February 8, 1939, in Timisoara, Romania. His family fled Romania in 1945 during World War 2, then immigrated to the US in 1950.  Peter was confirmed as a follower of Christ at Immanuel Lutheran Church and graduated with the inaugural class of Lutheran West High School in 1959. He worked for the City of Cleveland in the Accounting Dept. for 34 years.

In 1995 he married Nancy Cogan, and they spent 9 wonderful years together. They loved to travel and were active in ministry together at Calvary Reformed Church. Peter served on the Calvary Consistory, as a videographer of worship services, and as a vocalist in the Praise Team. Peter was a member of the Parma Cinema Guild and served as a Pastoral Care aide at Parma General Hospital.
Peter was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy in 2004, his dear mother Yolanthe in 1992, and his brother Gerd who died during combat in Vietnam in 1967. It is our loss, but heaven's gain.
