Thomas Allen Franklin, aka Tommy and Redd, was born June 17 1951 to Velma Edwards and William Thompson, and was the second child born to Velma. He was a student of Cleveland Public School and completed secondary education in Los Angles, CA, and received a certification for Intricate Systems Technologies from Tri-C. Tommy worked for various companies which included, but not limited to, Cleveland Industrial, Beff Construction, and J&L Construction. Affectionately known to most as “Redd”, he sang in band called The Connoisseurs. He was very out going and adventurous, and traveled all over the country. He loved his family and friends and was very active in the various communities in which he lived. He was always there for his family and catered to people in need.
